Coming back from a wedding down in New Orleans, it made me think of traditions that vary by region, family and cultures. In New Orleans, it’s common to second line to/from your wedding and during the reception, have a ring pull, and having the oh-so-yummy king cake. Around the nation brides put charms on their bouquet that honor their deceased grandparents or put 8×10 photos on the alter that house their photos. At a recent wedding we photographed, the bride had a garter that had been passed down three generations. So that leads me to ask, what’s your special tradition? Family tradition? Tradition special to your region?
